From Vancouver, the expedition heads north to Anchorage, Alaska and I will need to find some way to get to Asia. The journey could end up in Magadan and cycling through Siberia, end up in Japan and cycling the length of the country or end up in China. The second most worrying part of the trip is having to cycle through a minus 40 degree Siberian winter and through outer Mongolia. It has been done before, but not by many!
Once in Asia, the plan is to then cycle through China heading south through either:
- Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia and sail through Indonesia back home again; or
- head through the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and back to Australia.
