Hi Chris, Jan saw you in Old Bar, we old girls have spies everywhere! Hope the rain lets you through without too much incident- feeling stronger every day? Ally, Michelle and I were at a surprise presentation for your Mum's 20 years in education on Monday, it will be no surprise to you that she is very well thought of and has done great things. All the best, Judy

Hello Chris! Reading your first "on-road" report reminds me of similar feelings when set off in 1996 on "repeat" of ride from Newcastle to Melbourne and back done in 1950. Latter trip done with seven months of training after 45-year break from cycling. Don't be disappointed with slow progress to-date. Take things VERY steady and be ready to stop for rest when feeling really tired. Be patient, give your body a chance to develop "rhythym" and soon you'll be rolling along with ease. Very best wishes for safe and successful trip to Darwin and beyond. Peter

Hello Chris! Enjoyed meeting you at start of CSX and seeing coverage on NBN TV news. Congratulations on very neat compact load. Best setup seen for such extensive venture. Little more than gear used on my interstate rides (don't take camping equipment etc as stay overnight at motels). May everything go to plan with good weather and safe travel. As "born-again" cyclist aged 77, will be eagerly following your progress on website. Look forward to your return in 2017. You face countless wonderful experiences that'll need many books to record. With best wishes, Peter
The day of your departure coincides with the date of the Earth Hour campaign calling on cities, people, business to turn of lights for one hour to reduce global warming. While turning of lights tomorrow we will recall the beginning of your journey and CSX endeavor which, as much as the Earth Hour campaign, aims at switching on people's minds to understand and accept the necessity of leading sustainable lives.
Enjoy !!!

G'day Chris .. I was hoping to see you off but unfortunately cannot be at Newcastle this weekend. It is a great adventure you are embarking on - not without personal sacrifice/s. I wish you the very best & hope you will stay safe and healthy. Good cycling/have a great adventure!! Clarke Pearson
Thank you Travelling Two, Andrew and Friedel Grant, for directing me to CSX from your website. And thank you Chris for taking us on a tour across our adorable Planet. I already share your excitement and am very much looking forward to following your path, albeit only in Web virtual reality.

What a fantastic plan. Do you want some company? In these next 8 years I hope you inspire a whole lot of people to become aware of the damage we are causing to the planet your will be cycling around, and to become aware of how simple so many solutions really are, eg. cycling transport.
Never give up.
Never give up.
