“Perhaps it’s the understanding that all life is suffering” I’m not sure where you get this idea from but its not buddhism, in case you are thinking it is. And i don’t think its hinduism either. Its a botch up. A wrong generalisation of either hindu or buddhist thought.

Moving on, if you want to see women in shops, go to south india. Its not all quite the way you have described india. Don’t lose sight of the fact that you’ve only been there a limited time and have a limited picture, therefore you understanding is limited. You think you are reporting what your saw. But you are also only reporting what you noticed. What you noticed most is what stood out as most different. Its good to keep things like this in mind sometimes. How our perceptions can be inaccurate and unfair. Also don’t forget that it wasn’t so long ago that women in Australia were treated much the same as what you’ve witnessed in India. Except you were probably not born when it was like that so you could be forgiven for forgetting. The main lesson one should learn in india is humility. Its a very difficult lesson for foreigners to learn.

Hi Chris,
been reading your exploits – lucky bugger – bet you will have trouble settling down one day?
On the local TV about a month ago (NBN?) there was some footage of you mixing it with some robbers? somewhere. Did this happen – no mention in your ramblings. Keep enjoying yourself – its been a long time sime the ride up the east coast of Aus.

you must continue no matter the route. The route is the journey. Regarding your comments, remember that some people are like anti-bodies for this world… the immune system. And they are always the ones that strive most and walk/cycle the extra mile(s). There is no doubt that you are one of them and you have yet to inspire thousands and thousands. Keep going, there is no return. Also, remember, whatever belongs to us, we should let it free and let the universe work for it…
